§ 15-29. Duties.

The duties of the recreation board shall be to foster continuing planning for recreation activities in the city; to review constantly municipal, county, state and federal cooperation in the field of recreation; to continually seek a greater degree of coordination in the development of recreation opportunities; to assist the mayor and city council in carrying out the development of the recreational potential of the areas within the city; and to inform the citizens by meetings and through news media of the progress of the board's work.
