§ 3-2. Carrying advertisements in streets.

  • No pedestrian shall walk about upon the street, pavement or roadway with a sign, banner or what is commonly known as a sandwich board in his hands or upon his person, for the purpose of advertising any merchandise, product or other thing, without a permit from the chief of police to do so, which permit shall be automatically revoked upon any obstruction to pedestrian or vehicle traffic caused by the carrying of such sign, banner or sandwich board.
