§ 24-67. Fees; meter boxes and meter pits.

(a)

The mayor and city council shall charge a fee for meters and meter installation in an amount established by order of the mayor and city council.

(b)

Meters up to one (1) inch in size shall be installed in a ground box, which shall be located outside the premises to be served by such meter. All meters of more than one (1) inch in size shall be installed in a meter pit, to be located outside the premises to be served. Meter boxes shall be purchased through the water department and meter pits shall be constructed in accordance with specifications as established from time to time by the water department.
